Catherine Tuttle enjoys hiking with her family and is inspired by the drama in the rugged immensity of the mountains. Experiencing first hand the rocky summits and steep trails has informed her painting. She strives to create dynamic landscape images, using saturated color as a way to suggest emotion. She pushes the medium of watercolor, oil, or monotype to create powerful images.
